Lykkers, try this refreshing summer drink: iced tea infused with fresh watermelon, basil, and lime. It's absolutely delicious!

Watermelon is good for you because it has lots of water, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs. The only challenge in making watermelon juice at home is straining it before serving to remove the seeds.

Ingredients

• 6 bags of Black and Green Tea Blend

• 6 cups Water

• 1 Small Watermelon

• 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1/2 cup Fresh Basil, finely chopped

• Juice of 3 Limes

Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Put 6 bags of Black and Green Tea Blend into a large heatproof pitcher. Heat 6 cups of water until it simmers. Pour the hot water carefully into the pitcher over the teabags.

Step 2: Let the teabags steep in the pitcher for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on your preference for tea strength. Remove and discard the teabags. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate, letting it chill for at least 1 hour.

Step 3: Cut the Watermelon in half and scoop out the flesh. Put the watermelon flesh into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and juiced. Pour the watermelon juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a large bowl or separate pitcher.

Step 4: Use a spoon to assist in straining the blended juice through the strainer. Discard the pulp and any white seeds that remain. Cover the watermelon juice and chill it in the refrigerator.

Step 5: In a small saucepot, combine 1/2 cup of Granulated Sugar and 1/2 cup of Water. Put it on medium-high heat and bring it to a simmer. Stir occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Step 6: Once removed from heat, stir in the finely chopped Fresh Basil (1/2 cup). Transfer the mixture to a glass measuring cup or another pouring vessel, and let it cool down completely.

Step 7: After chilling the tea, watermelon juice, and simple syrup for at least an hour, combine them to make the iced tea. Begin by pouring the watermelon juice into the tea.

Step 8: Next, add the basil simple syrup to sweeten the tea. Add as much or as little as you like, depending on your taste.

Step 9: Squeeze the juice from 3 Limes directly into the pitcher and stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Step 10: Serve the tea with plenty of ice in tall glasses. Garnish each glass with lime slices, fresh basil leaves, and extra watermelon for a delightful presentation.

Lykkers, enjoy this delightful iced tea infused with the flavors of fresh watermelon, basil, and lime—a perfect blend for hot summer days. Have you ever made watermelon juice at home?
